Our tongue is delicious served hot or cold. Beef tongue has a similar taste to filet mignon, but is milder and more fatty. You can cook a variety of dishes with beef tongue, like soups, salads, and sandwiches. Or have it on its own with a grainy mustard or horseradish. It can be jellied, braised, or marinated, sliced very thin and stir fried.
Ways to cook: Cook overnight on low or boil it on the stovetop for 2 to 3 hours, until very tender. After you have let the tongue cool, peel off the tough skin.
Size: 1 whole raw unseasoned tongue, individually packed
