A standing rib roast, also known as prime rib, is a cut of beef from the rib primal. The rib roast is roasted in a standing position with the ribs stacked vertically and the layer of fat at the top, which flavors the meat all the way through.

A sure winner for a family supper

Whether rare, medium, or well-done is one’s preference the taste of this roast is sure to please and satisfy any beef eater’s appetite. We cook the roast tented with foil on a bed of sliced onions with water or wine. We also imbed a good number of garlic cloves along the ribs.
