At KOL Foods, we don’t just sell meat. We grow soil.

Just as the Hebrew word for human (adam) is rooted in the word for soil (adama), so too are our lives rooted in the health of our soil. This approach simultaneously makes our meat more nutritious and helps mitigate climate change. We grow soil using cutting edge regenerative grazing, which takes carbon from the over saturated atmosphere and buries it underground - all the while treating our animals with dignity. We invite you to join us on this journey to heal our bodies, our livestock, and the overarching ecosystem we call home.

A Commitment to Transparency

In an age when it takes an investigative reporter to figure out where meat comes from, KOL Foods is committed to telling its honest story. We want folks to know and trust that each animal is raised in the traditional, environmentally friendly way - in open fields and with open information. In addition to our farming practices, KOL Foods is committed to complete transparency in our ingredient lists and providing the cleanest cooked products we are able to.

KOL Foods is the only source for glatt-kosher,

100% grass-fed regenerative domestic beef

and heritage poultry.

Our Standards

  • 100% Grass-fed and organic-fed

  • No GMOs or animal by-products

  • No antibiotics

  • No added hormones or arsenic

  • No chemical pesticide use

  • No feedlots

  • Pasture-raised on small, traditional, family-owned farms and ranches

  • Raised by farmers receiving a fair wage and resources for support and education in farming practices

Savvy folks looking for the benefits of grass-fed meat know to look for "100% grass-fed" or "grass-finished" rather than "pastured" beef. Our beef and lamb are beyond pastured: we strive to partner with ranchers using regenerative grazing, and our 100% grass-fed and grass-finished meat results in significant health, welfare, and sustainability benefits.

Our poultry is beyond organic and free-range: it is 100% pastured and organic-fed. We go beyond USDA Organic poultry standards, which rely on birds that are almost always raised in confinement and are fed solely grain (corn & soy). Our poultry roams freely, eating what they choose, and growing at their natural pace.

At KOL Foods the humane treatment of animals and farm workers is paramount. We use family farms where the animals live outside on pasture, only eat what their biology is designed to, can live a full and happy life, and are treated with the respect due to a living being. Likewise, farm workers are treated with respect as valuable members of our team.

Ten reasons why 100% grass-fed/finished meat is better for the environment:

  1. Total emissions for greenhouse gases are 8 percent lower

  2. Ammonia emissions are reduced by 30 percent

  3. Reduces fuel use, as well as the carbon dioxide emissions from farm equipment (grass is solar powered)

  4. Converting cropland to grassland captures carbon in the soil, substantially reducing the carbon footprint

  5. Compared to land used to grow feed (soy and corn), grassland greatly reduces erosion and flooding.

  6. Improves water quality because of the huge drop in sediment erosion caused by growing feed.

  7. Feeding animals grass greatly reduces manure and fertilizer runoff, thereby significantly reducing phosphorous in the water

  8. Since fertilizer is not used to grow feed, there's no runoff causing huge algae blooms in the oceans and rivers.

  9. Since manure lagoons or piles are unnecessary, there's no pathogen runoff that pollutes the water system or stinks up the air.

  10. Grass feeding benefits wildlife since it encourages the biodiversity of native grasses rather than monoculture with barren winter fields.

The choice is clear – 100% grass-fed meat is the only way to eat.
