Foil Dinner Side Tip Steak

This versatile recipe can be cooked in the oven, on the grill, or even on a campfire! It is a fun, easy recipe that kids love to prepare with the supervision of an adult, and eat as well!

Ingredients:

  • 1, 100% Grass-Fed Side Tip, Top Round or Denver Steaks from KOL Foods
  • 2-3 baby carrots
  • 1/4-1/2 red potato, sliced into small bites

Seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 small onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Sea Salt and black pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Remove steaks from the refrigerator and packaging. Wash, dry and allow the steaks to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.

In a small bowl, combine Olive Oil, Salt & Pepper, Worcestershire Sauce, Soy Sauce, Garlic, Onion, and Lemon Juice.

Place steak on the center of foil sheet. Place a small amount of the seasoning mixture to the steak, quickly turn the steak over. Sprinkle Salt & Pepper on the steak, and then place potatoes and carrots on the steak, top with the remaining seasoning mix.

Carefully fold the foil into a "packet". Place packet on a cookie sheet. Roast in the oven for 45 minutes - reducing heat to 350 after 30 minutes.

At this time, take the steak packets out of the oven, carefully open them, to check the progress. If the steaks have an internal temperature that is less than 125 degrees, return them to the oven for another 15 minutes.

Once steak has reached 125 degrees, remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes.
