BBQ Pulled Turkey

This BBQ pulled turkey recipe is a delicious, healthier alternative to other BBQ meats! Plus it’s so easy to throw together. Pair it with your favorite BBQ sides or throw it on a bun for a finger-licking good sandwich!
Ingredients
KOL Foods Turkey Breast Fillets – 2 lbs
Your Favorite BBQ Sauce – 2 cups
Yellow onion – 1, sliced
Garlic cloves – 4, finely chopped
Smoked paprika – 2 tsp
Garlic powder – 2 tsp
Onion powder – 2 tsp
Kosher salt – 2 tsp
Black pepper – 1 tsp
Directions
1. Remove turkey breast from the fridge and set aside on a plate.
2. Prepare your spice mixture by mixing paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and ground pepper together in a small bowl. Set aside.
3. Slice the onion. Mix onion in a slow cooker with BBQ sauce, chopped garlic and ½ cup of water.
4. Season the turkey breast all over with the spice mixture. Keep the skin on the turkey breast to add additional flavor and prevent it from drying out!
5. Place turkey breast on top of BBQ mixture in slow cooker. Cook on low for 5 hours or until tender.
6. Once turkey breast is fork-tender, remove it from the slow cooker. Remove the skin and then shred the turkey breast using two forks. Once shredded, put back into the slow cooker BBQ mixture and cook for another hour.
7. Serve on rolls or alongside your favorite BBQ sides!
